MASTERPLAN
Hole 1
SAINT LOUIS
PAR 5 – 517 METERS
It is the first hole, the beginning of our tour, parallel to LGC3, the first phase of the Luis Garcia Cereceda project. In honour of our founder, with whom it all began, we took the name of lake Saint-Louis, which is located in Canada, southwest of Quebec. This first opening par 5 allows the golfer to have a clear vision of the game strategy to follow due to the wide fairway. Lateral water and the views of Madrid will accompany the golfer from the tee to the green.
Hole 2
EL GOLFETE
PAR 3 – 161 METERS
Hole 2 appears to have “visual mischievousness” and a “double surprise”. When you get to the green you have to be very attentive because the terrain is deceiving. A lake in Guatemala reflects the personality of this hole.
The wide tees will generate a new experience for the player every time he faces this hole. The variety of options depending on the placement of the flag will be the predominant note.
Hole 3
LALLA
PAR 4 – 299 METERS
Bordering Casablanca Avenue, we travel to Morocco, more precisely to Marrakesh. There we find Lalla lake, which gives its name to hole 3. Narrow par 4, with a demanding shaped green protected by bunkers on both sides. To be successful, the player will have to adjust the ball very accurately.
Hole 4
TANGANIKA
PAR 4 – 353 METERS
Hole 4 passes through a “stream” that at some point in the Middle Ages must have had some fresh water; in any case, it was certainly not salty. We went in search of the largest freshwater lake in the world. And we found it in Central Africa, between Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This hole stands out for its tactical component. Depending on where the flag is placed, the player will have to make a decision: be more daring or more conservative.
Hole 5
SUPERIOR
PAR 5 – 522 METERS
Hole 5 becomes interminable, long and uphill, forcing us to make a “superior” effort. On the border between Canada and the United States lies the largest of the great lakes of North America. Lake Superior. The skill of the golfer, who will have to overcome a water hazard, will set the tone.
Hole 6
BAIKAL
PAR 4 – 394 METERS
The 6th hole is the centrepiece of the project, and around it, specially manicured areas and one of our largest lakes. In Siberia, lake Baikal, one of the most special lakes in the world, in every sense. It is also called “the Pearl of Asia”. And that is what this hole is, “a pearl”.
Its difficulty will increase as you advance towards the green, with irregular bends and undulations, protected on both sides by bunkers.
Hole 7
CORRENTOSO
PAR 4 – 284 METERS
Hole 7 is small. Looking for the shortest lake in the world, we found Correntoso lake in Argentina, in the city of Villa La Angostura.
If the unsuspecting player tries to get too close to the green from the tee shot, he will be in for a surprise. This par 4 is tricky and will test the patience of many.
Hole 8
LEMAN
PAR 3 – 210 METERS
The largest lake with the largest volume of water in Western Europe. The Celts called it “Lem an”, which means “big water”. Hole 8 is special, its hills and pine trees hide behind them our huge driving range.
Located parallel to hole 7, this par 3 has a dominant headwind, the height of the green and its particular relief as its main difficulties. The player will have to be skilful in his choice of club if he wants to solve it successfully.
Hole 9
HURÓN
PAR 4 – 404 METERS
At hole number 9 we are right in the middle of our round. We are going, therefore, to the central part of North America, to get to know lake Huron. The player will face a hole on a slight dogleg to the right where he will have a beautiful shot to the green to close the first round with the clubhouse and the residential area in the background.
Hole 10
NESS
PAR 4 – 426 METERS
This 10th hole has a certain Scottish feel to it. And Loch Ness is Scotland at its purest. It is a par 4 with a slight upward slope at the start, accompanied by a wide fairway. It culminates in a well-shaped green for the player’s delight.
Hole 11
TITICACA
PAR 4 – 412 METERS
The 11th is one of the narrowest holes and has visual dominance over other lower holes. There is a lake that, besides being narrow, is the highest navigable lake in the world. On the high plateau of the central Andes, between Peru and Bolivia: Lake Titicaca, of great sacred value, cradle of the Inca culture. This hole has multiple tee options, along with a fairway that narrows as you approach the green, which will make it a different challenge each time you play it. The golfer will never look at it with the same eyes.
Hole 12
SÉNECA
PAR 4 – 328 METERS
The 12th hole has an elongated shape and is oriented in a north-south direction, more or less like Seneca lake, one of the “finger lakes” of New York State. The player will have to think carefully about the tee shot and the strategy to follow. It is a short par 4, with a narrow green and it is well protected by three bunkers that add to its difficulty.
Hole 13
TODOS LOS SANTOS
PAR 5 – 487 METERS
Hole 13 is one of the southernmost holes, like the beautiful southern region of Chile. Lake Todos los Santos is one of the most spectacular.
It is the first par 5 of this second round and presents several obstacles on the way to the green: one water hazard and five bunkers. Ideal for players who do not like to miss out on anything and want to risk for a good result.
Hole 14
EDOUARD
PAR 4 – 329 METERS
For this 14th hole we return to Central Africa, to one of its 6 great lakes, between Congo and Uganda. It carries a very special name for LaFinca.
If the first shot was good, the second will open the way to the hole. Presents two lateral bunkers that will mark the golfer’s game strategy.
Hole 15
BLED
PAR 3 – 123 METERS
Lake Bled in Slovenia has a small island with a church at its centre. Once there, they say that if you ring the bell three times and make a wish, it will come true. Our 15th hole has no bell or church, but it does have an island and there will be a bell as well. Ending up in the water is a real danger, especially on windier days.
Hole 16
ENOL
PAR 4 – 403 METERS
Parallel to the residences of LGC9 and LGC7, but above all, the 16th hole is surrounded by lakes. One of the most beautiful regions of Spain, where the Reconquest began, is also surrounded by lakes. Lake Enol is one of the incredible lakes of Covadonga, Asturias.
In this hole the golfer will have to carry out his game strategy to avoid the traps. Apart from the water, a group of trees will also stand in the way of the final approach to the green. It’s a complex par 4, but also a lot of fun.
Hole 17
ROSA
PAR 3 – 208 METERS
Pink lakes do exist. The colour pink, one of our icons. And the one in Yucatán, Mexico, does not go unnoticed. The vegetation, with strategically placed trees and an extensive bunker on the left side, will play an important role in attacking the attractive green of this hole.
Hole 18
CRÁTER
PAR 5 – 518 METERS
Our last hole. The Native Americans of Oregon tell the legend of a fight between the god of the underworld (LLAO) and the god of the earth and sky (SKELL). A combat that ended up dragging Llao to the depths of the earth. With him, Mount Mazama sank. For more than seven centuries rain and snow have produced an extraordinary lake. There is no contribution of any river to its blue waters. ‘The deep blue,’ they’ve called it “lake Majesty” as well. But now it is Crater Lake, the deepest in the US.
The final stage towards the clubhouse is technical and the planning of the shots will be essential to make a successful last stretch on a well-protected green.
Ready for a nice beer after such a pleasant tour.
